In the meanwhile traditional first semester workshop Stool Design, I crafted the stool “Stecki”. Within 8 days we sketched, constructed 3D-models and built our stools. Stecki is material-savingly milled from a 9 mm multiplex board and because of its 32 push-in connections is very resilient. The stool is neither glued, screwed nor dowelled, but is solely held together by the tension of the wood. Stecki has already proven its reliability at the “Best of HfK Design ” exhibition in the Wilhelm Wagenfeld house, where visitors could test the stool for two and a half months.
